Silver Ammonite Fossil Necklace
This fine silver replica of an ammonite fossil measures .5" wiacross e and .9" tall, with an 18" or 24" chain. The pendant was cast from a 160 million year old ammonite fossil from the Jurassic Age, found in Madagascar.
Ammonites are an extinct group of marine cephalopods. Despite their appearance, they are more closely related to octopus and squid than the nautilus.
